Tergeon praised the Islanders team coached by Roy, saying, ‘The form is good and the future is promising.’

On January 20th, Patrick Roy replaced Ryan Lambert as the new coach of the New York Islanders and led the team to the playoffs. This former goalkeeper and center forward once wrote glory together with his teammates from the Montreal Canadiens.
On Middle Island, the New York Islanders are looking forward to Roy’s persistent pursuit of excellence and responsibility bearing fruit this season. And his former teammate, the center of the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame, Pierre Tergeon, deeply felt this.
Roy was a passionate person, “Tergeon recalled the days he fought alongside Roy in 1995.” He was very emotional and could control all his emotions. His goal was only one, and that was victory. Like the players, he was eager to win

Since Roy took over, the performance of the Islanders team has indeed been remarkable. In the last 37 games, they achieved a record of 20 wins, 12 losses, and 5 draws, ending the regular season with an impressive 9 game winning streak (8 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw). Despite ranking third in the metropolitan division, they unfortunately lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round of the Eastern Conference.
Roy’s coaching career was equally brilliant. He was inducted into the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 2006 and won the Stanley Cup four times – twice for the Canadian team (1986, 1993) and twice for the Colorado Avalanche team (1996, 2001). In his 19 season professional career, he was selected for the All Star Game 11 times and won the Connsmouth Trophy as the postseason MVP (1986, 1993, 2001), as well as the Vincenna Trophy as the NHL Goalkeeper of the Year three times (1989, 1990, 1992).
He is a winner, a person who loves ice hockey, “Tergeon said highly of Roy.” He is full of passion, and I think he did very well last year. He is not simple, he will push you to a position and ensure that you are responsible for what you do
For the islanders team, a good start to this season is crucial. In the past two seasons, they had to wait until the last week to secure a playoff spot. However, Tergeon is optimistic that Roy’s coaching approach will help the Islanders find more consistency.
This won’t be something they can do right away, but I think they’re in a good position now, “Tergeon said at the 23rd McMahon Family Golf Outing on Saturday.” They still have a lot of work to do. It won’t be easy, but Roy will definitely help us. He understands the boss and the New York market. He will put in 100% effort and always do everything he can to compete
As the home game against Utah Hockey Club on October 10th approaches, the Islanders are about to embark on a new journey for the 2024-25 season. And fans can’t wait to wear jerseys with labels such as “cheap jerseys”, “cheap nhl jerseys”, “cheap jerseys from China”, “nhl jerseys cheap”, etc., to cheer for their home team.
